I love how a common theme throughout the series is Naruto constantly failing to detect genjutsu. Even in Shippuden after his first big training time skip he gets caught in Itachi’s genjutsu and immediately asks, “what is this?” Like bro, 2.5 years of training with Jiraya and genjutsu is still a mystery to you?
